For 42 years, we have consistently offered the best in
music Instruction in an ideal geographical setting in Northern
Michigan. Enrollments are limited per instrument so sign up early.
Camp Director
Christopher Charboneau- This will be Chris's
22nd summer at Wolverine. He
is currently the Director of Bands and Music Department Chair in the
Oak
Park Public Schools. During his seventeen year teaching career,
Chris's
high school and middle school bands have consistently earned first
division ratings at District and State band festivals. He also
serves as
an adjudicator for the Michigan School Band and Orchestra
Association, as
well as a guest conductor and clinician throughout the state.
Camp Staff
Melissa Wakeley-Sapienza- This will be Melissa's10th
summer as our trumpet
instructor. Melissa is in her 4th as the Director of Bands in the
Clare
Public Schools. Melissa holds her bachelor and master of Music
Education
degrees from Central Michigan University. She also performs with the
Paradigm Brass Quintet and the C.M.U. Brass Band.
John Kumjian-This will be John's 8th summer at Wolverine as
our percussion
instructor. He is currently in his 24th year of teaching, and 11th
year as
the band director at Glen Lake Community Schools in Maple City.
MaryAnn Hubbard- This will be MaryAnn's 6th summer as our
flute
instructor. She is Chamber Music Director and Flute Instructor at
Alpena
Community College. She plays with Quintetto Sonare, Wind Song Flute
Quartet and Arioso Trio.
Tom Golden- Tom is the Director of Bands in the Bellaire
Public Schools.
He will be the Camp Jazz Band director for the 6th consecutive
summer.
Stephanie Campeau- This will be Stephanie's 4th summer as one
of our
saxophone instructors. She is the director of bands in the
Arenac-Eastern
Public Schools in Twining, MI.
Katie Hildebrand- Katie has a music education major from
Grand Valley
State University, and will be one of our clarinet instructors for
the 2nd
year.
David Cook- This will be David's 3rd year as one of our
clarinet
instructors. He is junior music education and performance major at
Central
Michigan University.
Eric Dluzniewski- In his second year at camp, Eric will be
one of our low
brass instructors. He is a graduate student in euphonium performance
major
at the Eastman School of Music.
Ken Heinlein- Ken will also be a low brass instructor in his
second year
at Wolverine. Ken holds a tuba performance degree from C.M.U. and a
Masters degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music.
Patrick Booth- This will be Patrick's second year as one of
our saxophone
instructor's. He is a senior at Central Michigan University,
majoring in
music education.
Katie Chapman- Katie will be our bassoon and oboe instructor
in her second
year at Wolverine. She is a senior music education major at Grand
Valley
State.
Matt Shutes- This will be Matt's first year at camp, as our
French horn
instructor. He is a senior music education and horn performance
major at
Grand Valley State University.

2010 Session Date June 20-27 (7 days/6 nights) $395 per student
A Registration fee of $125 is required for each session
and is non-refundable after June 1st. Once a student checks in there
are no refunds for any reason.
