Open
to junior high and senior high school boys and girls who are
serious
about becoming better runners. The students enrolled in
our camp will receive
a steady diet of cross-country running each day. This is
a NON-COMPETITIVE
camp with training and conditioning only, not a recreation
camp. Open to 7th
thru 12th grade boys and girls - younger runners call for information.
Students
can sign up for more than one week. There are no refunds if a student leaves camp
early for any reason.

Tentative Program
This camp focuses on fundamentals of cross country running
and conditioning. To
Obtain maximum benefit, students should have built up a
sound distance base as
they will be running between 30-50 miles during the week depending
on their
fitness level. Again, we are a NONCOMPETITIVE CAMP.

What
spare time you might have may be used for, basketball, ultimate
frisbee, horse-shoes, volley ball, soccer, tubing, etc. Weight training
(not weight lifting) will be part of the program. Light weights
with fast action. Runs to Burt Lake of Silver Lake for swimming will be
part of some afternoon workouts. Bring your swim suits. If you
have new running shoes, bring some of your old shoes with you so that
you might break in the new shoes gradually. Also, use the old
shoes if the weather does not cooperate. Rain gear is
advisable. Bring a spiral notebook
with you. You will keep a log of your workouts and lectures.

Tuition includes a T-shirt, evening snacks, 4X6
picture, and a pizza party.
A registration fee of $125 is required for each session.
